- Visible from the street and exposed to weather, the repair had to be structural, not cosmetic.

What We Did
Fabricate the Leaf
Cut and finished a custom solid wood leaf section, thickness-matched to the existing countertop for a seamless look.
Hinge It Right
Installed a continuous piano hinge along the full length of the leaf for a tight, even seam and smooth folding action.
Add Support
Installed hinged knee braces underneath to keep the leaf level and fully supported when extended.
Seal & Finish
Applied a clear polyurethane finish for durability that matches the wear and cleaning demands of a kitchen countertop.
