Winter Is When Interior Painting Actually Gets Done
Exterior work stops when the rain sets in. Inside is the opposite the house is closed up, rooms are being used more, and every mark on the wall is suddenly in front of you under the lights. It’s the right stretch of the year to get a room repainted, and it’s when our interior schedule has the most room in it.
It’s also when prep matters most. Almost every bad paint job is a prep problem, not a paint problem: filler that wasn’t sanded flat shows as a shadow under the roller, old glossy trim that wasn’t scuffed peels at the first knock, and a ceiling stain painted over without primer comes back within a month. We treat wall patching, sanding and priming as part of the job rather than an add-on.
